Googl-rrific Googl-ificent Googl-tastic

Listen up MoFo's we're finally the top of the food chain when it comes to Googling Chicken and Booze. It takes awhile to usurp the mighty.

"This video invites you to a world where you'll find plenty of chicken, plenty of booze and more booty than you can handle! This Booty-fabulous video is filled with eye-popping scenes that will make your mouth water. If you like chicken, booze or booty then you will love this video! It's gonna be a finger lickin' good time!"

Not to mention the incredibly popular and equally bootylicious...

"A second helping of some of the finer things in life come from the same team who brought you the first installment of CHICKEN, BOOZE AND BOOTY! This time around they've trumped their first effort by bringing more booty to the party, offering some sensational jawdropping sights that are perfectly complemented by a bucket of southern fried and brew of choice."

So not only did we have those cinematic juggernauts to contend with, but we also had to overcome the musical stylings of one Jackie Mittoo and the Soul Bros. Ripping out a 1967 Ska/Reggea/Funk song called "Chicken and Booze". The sample is now on the website. I would have made it our theme song much earlier but I was so riddled with jealousy over being 4th in the Google pecking order that I couldn't bring myself to promote the genius that is Jackie Mittoo or Manny Corchado. For a brief time we were also behind some schlep named Manny Coracho. He did a beatbox remix of Jackie Mittoo's Chicken and Booze. It was during this time period that I contemplated my purpose in life.

During my extensive research on the topic I discovered that the song that Jackie Mittoo recorded in 1967 was a tribute to something called Chicken and Booze Dances. These dances occurred in the 1950's in Harlem, NY. At "Chicken and Booze Dances", audience members reserved tables and brought their own brown bags and bottles. These affairs took place at Harlem venues such as the Savoy in the 1950's. It was taken for granted that a musician working the "chicken and booze" circuit would be able to play jazz, rhythm and blues, calypso, and Latin. Who smells a pub crawl theme. I do I do I do.

OK,OK,OK on to the purpose of the email. There seems to be a Pub Crawl this Saturday June 24th at either 7 or 7:30 depending on who you ask. What we know for sure is that it is in Mt. Adams, what we aren't sure about is which bars and what times. Scotty and I are going to Party in the Park and then to Mt Adams to talk to the bars about times and cover charges and what nots. If you'd like to join us give me a call. If you don't have my # by now and you don't have the capacity to search around on the C&B site for it shame on you. Keep checking the website for final details.

Secondly, I am getting rid of a player piano on Saturday morning. I need help. I want you to take this semi-functioning monstrosity from me. If you don't want it, I need you to help me get it out of my house. It may go to Wes' house for the "C&B after party" and piano burning if no one claims it (Kinda Fascist I know but waddya gonna do?). Seriously, I need help lifting this f-ing thing outta my house.

Mt Adams Pub Crawl

June 24th, 2006 is finally upon us!!!!!!!!!!
Where have I been? Sorry about the hiatus but an update is soon to follow. Here's what I know. There are ten bars in Mt Adams on top of the hill. There is also City View and Porkopolis down the hill a little way. Haven't talked to the 10 bars on top yet so if something happens and we are not welcome, we will go to one of the other two. This link is the most up to date map. Stay posted my little boozers.
